7 ways to cope with everyday life in the city and a playlist for all those lost in the whirlwind of city life
Life in the concrete jungle can be exhilarating, exciting, frightening, hectic, and stressful. So, take time to reflect on your daily routine and find moments for yourself that help you avoid getting lost in the urban realities.
Living in the city, everyday life can sometimes seem a bit heavy.
The constant rush of a bustling city can become overwhelming and if you are not careful, you will quickly be drawn into the whirlwind and routine of everyday life.
1. Get up a little earlier.
We know how hard it is to get out of bed in the morning. But we've also seen how helpful it is. A little extra time in the morning devoted to something that makes us feel better, like eating a good breakfast, reading, or doing morning yoga on our favorite mat, can transform our entire day.
2. Be the energy you want to attract.
There's a saying that people in cities don't smile and are moody (not to be confused with Tropical Mood 🙂 ). Small gestures of kindness can make a big difference, both for you and the recipient.
3. Use your commute time.
Time flies by faster in the city. That's why it's so important to make the most of every moment. Enjoy your commute by reading a book or listening to your favorite music. Traveling is sometimes the only time we have for reading. It's also a moment to relax with your favorite infusion (you can now take it with you thanks to your favorite DROP thermal bottle).
4. Find your favorite places and at the same time explore the unknown.
Explore, explore, explore. There's always something new to discover in the city. Just get off at a stop you've never been to before. If you haven't been somewhere, go there. Go somewhere unexplored and you might find a gem. There are plenty of experiences and great things happening in the city, so try them! And don't forget about the people. Talk to them, and it can provide you with many interesting stories and lessons. Just be brave!
5. Every day is special. Celebrate it.
When there's so much going on, it's easy to lose focus and get lost. Constantly staring at your phone for no apparent reason is probably familiar to you. Wouldn't it be better to observe your surroundings with a fresh perspective and simply be present? There are so many things that can make you laugh or simply surprise you that you hadn't noticed before. Keeping a small journal of pleasant moments and observations from your day can be a great reminder that something good and special has happened to you.
6. Make time for friends.
Take time to connect with those who make you happiest. They will surely help put your life into perspective.
7. And most importantly, don't feel guilty when you have lazy days.
Watch a movie, eat something delicious and recharge your batteries.
